College Football Virgina Tech vs Boston College Championship Picks

by Alexander Banks on Thursday, November 29th, 2007

You probably won’t hear the old Vanessa Williams song “Save the Best for Last” at a college football game but it seems the song is apropos for the NCAA’s last weekend of football. It’s championship weekend, schools are craving conference championships and bettors are hoping to head into bowl season on a winning note. SportsBetting.com has the Hokies 4.5 point favorites in this College Football Championship matchup.

One of the three Championship matchups receiving the most attention from sports bettors is in the ACC.

The ACC’s final game is one of three games on Saturday that feature two Top 25 teams going head-to-head. Taking place in Jacksonville, Fla., the battle will see the Virginia Tech Hokies (No. 6 in the BCS) and the Boston College Eagles (BCS No. 11) fighting it out for the title the leagues automotic BCS bowl berth.

"I don't know why Boston College is the underdog here," stated Point-Spreads.com College Football Predictions Expert Reno Goldberg. "I guess oddsmakers are taking in the revenge factor from the way the Eagles beat them earlier. I see Matt Ryan showing his stuff on a dry field. Unlike the first game."

Both the Hokies and the Eagles sport identical 6-5 records against the spread, but bettors are putting their money behind Virginia Tech (4½-point favs) as they are seeing 75% of the money wagered.
