BCS Standings 2010 – Oregon is Number 1:For the first time in three weeks, the major media college football polls, AP and USA-Today/Coaches and Bowl Championship Series standings all agree on one team for number one, and that is the Oregon Ducks. If there is any single reason why the Ducks lept over the Tigers to the top it would probably be strength of schedule. The Ducks had a big win over AP No. 24 USC on Saturday while Auburn defeated unranked Ole Miss. The Ducks held down No. 1 in both AP and Coaches polls last week. Rounding out the top five are No. 2 Auburn, 3 TCU ( who jumped Boise State), 4 Boise State, and 5 Utah.
The Alabama Crimson Tide, who were idle in week-9, are the highest ranked one-loss team in the BCS at No. 6, a spot vacated by Missouri after their loss to Nebraska on Saturday. The Crimson Tide are followed by 7 Nebraska, 8 Oklahoma, 9 Wisconsin, and 10 LSU.
Ohio State holds its position at No. 11, followed by 12 Missouri, 13 Stanford, 14 Michigan State, and Arizona. Iowa heads up the next five at 16, followed by 17 Oklahoma State, 18 Arkansas, 19 South Carolina, and 20 Mississippi State.
The Baylor Bears, following their Week-9 win over Texas, leap to No. 21 tailed by 22 Virginia Tech, 23 Nevada, 24 Florida State and 25 North Carolina State.
