College Football Lines 2011 Week 10

by Matt Foust on Wednesday, November 2nd, 2011

College Football Lines 2011 Week 10: We have reached the point in the college football season where almost every night of the week, with the exception of Sunday and Monday, features at least one game. Northern Illinois and Toledo opened the week's action last night with a thrilling 63-60 shootout at the Glass Bowl. MAC rivals Temple and Ohio keep thing rolling tonight while BCS schools Florida State, Boston College, USC, and Colorado are set to take the field on Thursday and Friday respectively.

Temple Owls vs Ohio Bobcats (+3.5): Temple holds the top spot in the MAC's East division, but its lead is a tenuous one asCollege Football Lines 2011 Week 10 the Bobcats trail the Owls by just a half game in the standings. While last night's MAC contest featured a ton of offense, this evening's contest should be more of a defensive battle. Temple ranks second in the nation in points per game allowed (10) while Ohio ranks 24th (20.4). However, the Bobcats, who have won three of the last four in this series, have topped the 30 point mark in each of the last two meetings between these two schools.

Florida State Seminoles vs Boston College Eagles (+14): The Seminoles have more on the line in this ACC clash, but neither team possesses a real shot at the Atlantic Division title. Florida State, at 5-3 (3-2 ACC), trails the first place Clemson Tigers, a team it already lost to, by two games, while Boston College (2-6, 1-4) needs to win out just to gain bowl eligibility. The Eagles have been utterly abysmal this season, but they did snap a three game skid on Saturday with a surprise win at Maryland. FSU rides a three game win streak into this game, and they are coming off a 34-0 pounding of NC State last weekend.
