Point-Spreads.com is ready for the huge rematch between the No. 1 ranked defending national champion Alabama Crimson Tide (8-0, 5-0 SEC) as they travel to Baton Rouge to take on the No. 5 ranked LSU Tigers (7-1, 3-1 SEC) in Tiger Stadium at 8:00 PM EST on CBS. Nick Saban’s squad won the 2013 BCS National Title game 21-0 against this Les Miles team last January but the Tigers have redemption on their minds and have home field advantage this time around. The latest college football point spreads posted by the odds makers show the Alabama Crimson Tide -8 point road favorite against the LSU Tigers.
“The big game this week is obviously Alabama and LSU. But this isn’t what I consider a high-value situation,” stated College Football Prediction expert Robert Ferringo of Doc’s Sports Advisory Board. “Obviously everyone is going to pound the ‘under’ in this one after their two low-scoring affairs last year. But the public has really been overlooking what has been an excellent Crimson Tide offense. They are averaging 40.6 points per game this year, No. 11 in the country. If that total gets pulled down around 40 I may look OVER.”
The odds makers have the Alabama vs LSU odds on the Total set at OVER/UNDER 40.5 points.
“Saturday night in College Football the rematch between Alabama at LSU is center stage,” stated College Football Prediction expert the Vegas Sports Informer of Doc’s Sports Advisory Board. “LSU gets this game at home so that might help. But the oddsmakers don’t believe home underdog has a shot as LSU is +9. I was shocked last week on how Alabama easily took care of Mississippi State and if LSU struggles to score at home we could see another Alabama double-digit win.”
Vegas Sports Informer has posted an outstanding 11 out of 17 ‘Big Unit’ Plays (5-Units or higher) this young football season and Saturday he has a 6-Unit College Football Conference Play of the Month and in the NFL we have a HUGE 5-Unit Game of the Day. Cashing Big Unit plays in all sports and this weekend we look for more easy cash going to our clients and my wallet.
“We all know this week is about Bama and LSU,” stated College Football Prediction expert David Patrick of Strike Point Sports on Doc’s Sports Advisory Board. “It has been said that it is nearly impossible to go into Death Valley on a Saturday Night and come out on the positive side of the scoreboard. Odds makers however don’t seem to be to concerned with the rowdy atmosphere in Louisiana as Bama opened as nearly a double-digit favorite. This is quite a low line however, as Alabama is typically favored by three or more touchdowns each weekend. The line still sits at (-9), around where it opened at, even though most of the public is leaning on the Crimson Tide. We do find it interesting that the line is stagnant but LSU has definitely earned the title of one of the best “home teams” in the country year-in and year-out.”
Ferringo went on to say this about a potential Free Alabama vs LSU Prediction: “In general, I don’t like the match-up. Alabama is a great team. But over the last two years they just haven’t played anyone! LSU has the home edge, the revenge motivation, and have had two weeks to prepare. They are also a home underdog catching a lot of points in a marquee spot. Every bone in my handicapper body is telling me that LSU is the play. But despite all that I just don’t know if I am in a rush to bet against Nick Saban.”
The college football betting odds makers have the money lines as Alabama -350 odds and LSU +290 home dogs.
