Arizona vs Stanford 2010 College Football Picks, 2010 College Football Odds & 2010 College Football Predictions: The No. 15 Arizona Wildcats will travel to Palo Alto tomorrow to take on conference rival Stanford at Stanford Stadium. Tomorrow's Pac 10 showdown is scheduled to kickoff at 8:00pm ET on ABC. 2010 College Football Picks, Odds & Predictions at online bookmaker Bodog.com have the Cardinal listed as a -9.5 against the spread home favorite and the game total set at 56.
The Arizona Wildcats improved to 7-1 last weekend, beating UCLA 29-21 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. The win, whic was
the third consecutive for Mike Stoops' squad, kept alive their chances for a Pac 10 title, despite a week seven home loss to Oregon State.
The Wildcats, which are 4-1 in conference play and tied with Stanford for second place in the Pac 10 standings, got another game effort from junior quarterback Matt Scott, who filled in for the injured Nick Foles for a second consecutive start. The California native completed 24-of-36 passes for 319 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in the road win over the Bruins.
Scott, who will take the bench against the Cardinal if Foles returns as anticipated, threw for 233 yards (18-of-22) and two touchdowns in Arizona's 44-14 win over the Washington Huskies two weekends ago.
Stanford comes into tomorrow's game with an identical 7-1 overall record and 4-1 conference mark. The Cardinal, which is also riding a three game win streak, suffered its lone loss to the first place Ducks in Oregon almost a month ago.
Jim Harbaugh's troops overcame that setback with narrow wins over USC (37-35) and Washington State (38-28) as well as a 41-0 stomping of the Huskies last Saturday in Seattle. Quarterback Andrew Luck had another solid outing in routing Washington, throwing for 192 yards, one touchdown, and a pick while also rushing for 92 yards and a score on five carries. However, it was the Cardinal defense that keyed the victory as it held Jake Locker and company to seven first downs, 107 total yards, and a 0.8 yards per carry average.
Arizona scored a 43-38 win over Stanford last year in Tucson, but the Cardinal have had control of the series in recent years. Prior to last season's five point loss, Stanford had defeated the Wildcats five times in six games.
College Football Predictions Betting Trend: The Over is 6-1 the last five years when Stanford played as a home favorite with a total of 54.5 or more.
