Oregon vs. Stanford College Football Picks: The No. 7 ranked Oregon Ducks (7-1), with a firm grip on the Pac 10 standings head down to Palo Alto, Calif., for a conference battle with the improving Stanford Cardinal (5-3, 4-2 Pac 10) today at 3:40 pm ET.

College football picks oddsmakers at super-sportsbook Bodog.com list the Ducks as 7 1/2-chalk favorites versus the Cardinal with a 59 total. Stanford backers are getting +240 moneyline odds as a home underdog.

Oregon needs a win to keep alive hopes of making it to the BCS title game while Stanford needs one more win to become bowl eligible for the first time since 2001. The key matchup would have been Stanford linebacker Clinton Snyder vs. Oregon quarterback Jeremiah Masoli, but Snyder will miss the remainder of the season after injuring his left knee in practice Tuesday. The Cardinal need pressure on Masoli, who has rushed for 18 touchdowns in 19 career games and is averaging 6.3 yards per carry this season.

The Ducks have seemed like a team on a mission since their opening season loss at Boise State. While some folks might see today's game at Stanford as a trap situation, the Ducks have been relentless all year since that first loss. Oregon should get a win today and cover the -7 1/2-chalk spread.
