Top NCAA Teams Fighting for BCS birth

by Alexander Banks on Friday, November 9th, 2007

The Ohio State Buckeyes were the toast of the college football world last year. They had a Heisman trophy winning QB in Troy Smith; they were the No. 1 from wire-to-wire and earned a berth against the Florida Gators in the BCS title game, where they were torched 41-14 by the Florida Gators.

Going into this season talented players such as Smith and WR Ted Ginn Jr. moved on to the NFL and many thought head coach Jim Tressel would be building for the future in 2007—they were ranked No. 11 in the AP preseason poll.

And if the season had progressed as most college football seasons go, Ohio State would probably sitting around No. 5 at best, but of course the NCAA football script isn’t going according to plan and it has nothing to do with a writers strike.

The season is fast drawing to a close and teams are fighting to be part of the BCS picture. Now is a great time to put up a wager at SportsBetting.com on college football’s national champion.

The top teams in contention this year are No. 1 ranked Ohio State Buckeyes, No. 2 ranked Louisiana State, Oklahoma and the West Virginia Mountaineers.
