2010 College Football Week 11 Odds

by Matt Foust on Tuesday, November 9th, 2010

2010 College Football Week 11 Odds: Most would say that No. 1 Oregon has survived the two most difficult games on its schedule (Stanford, USC); however, the Ducks still have three tough opponents to hurdle before making their BCS National Championship hopes come true. This weekend Oregon will travel to Berkeley to face a Bears squad that has been excellent at home. Also on the docket this Saturday is TCU's final game against a notable opponent as the Horned Frogs look to go undefeated in the regular season for a second consecutive year. 2010 College Football Week 11 Odds at online bookmaker SBGglobal.com have the Ducks and Horned Frogs listed as -19.5 and -26.5 favorites respectively.

Oregon Ducks vs California Golden Bears (+26.5): It would be fair to say the Oregon has hardly been challenged at all this 2010 College Football Week 11 Oddsseason with the Ducks winning their first nine games by an average of 37 points per contest. Yes, Chip Kelly's troops did find themselves in a first half struggle against Arizona State (28-23 at the half) and they trailed Stanford in the first half at Autzen Stadium, but they went on to win those games by a combined 32 points. Given some of Cal's ugly losses (52-31 Nevada, 48-14 USC, 35-7 Oregon State) it does not seem like a team capable of threatening the Ducks march toward perfection; however, the Bears are a perfect 4-0 at home with blowout wins over Colorado (52-7), UCLA (35-7), and Arizona State (50-17). It might be easy for Oregon fans to simply dismiss this game as another easy win, but the Ducks may be in for a battle come Saturday.

San Diego State Aztecs vs. TCU Horned Frogs (-26.5): TCU has had exactly two teams pose the slightest of threats to them this season (Oregon State, SMU), but the Horned Frogs won those games by a combined 26 points. Utah figured to be TCU's biggest challenge, but Gary Patterson's squad blasted the Utes 47-7 on Saturday in Salt Lake. Now San Diego State remains the Horned Frogs only road block to perfection (nobody seriously believes that New Mexico can challenge, yet alone beat TCU). One might suspect a let down for the Frogs given the build up to last weekend's meeting with Utah, but with two games left and the Aztecs being the only remaining threat, San Diego State should get TCU's undivided attention. The Aztecs are also playing some good football, sitting at 7-2 with their only losses being at Missouri (27-24) and at BYU (24-21).
