The Huskies led the game 7-3 at halftime and also led 21-13 after three quarters. The Panthers scored 11 points in the final eight minutes of the game for the win. The last time these schools played in Storrs, the Panthers had an easy time of it beating the Huskies 34-10.

A key to Thursday's game will be how Pitt's nationally rated defense will respond to the challenge of Connecticut's Jordan Todman, who lead the BIG EAST and ranks fourth nationally with 136.29 rushing yards per game. The Panthers are only yielding 93.75 yards per game on the ground to rank first in the league and eighth nationally.
