College Football Predictions 2011 Week 11

by Matt Foust on Saturday, November 12th, 2011

College Football Predictions 2011 Week 11: Oregon and Stanford will steal the spotlight tomorrow, from a football persepctive anyway, as they battle for the Pac 12 North lead, but four other top 25 teams are set to square off against fellow ranked schools as well. No. 19 Nebraska takes on No. 12 Penn State in a critical Big Ten contest at Beaver Stadium and No. 20 Auburn heads to Athens, Georgia to face the 15th ranked Bulldogs. If Penn State and Georgia are able to win, they could, potentially, move into the top 10 and join the race for a BCS bowl berth.

No. 20 Auburn Tigers vs No. 15 Georgia Bulldogs (-12): The Bulldogs are in great position to capture the SEC East title, butCollege Football Predictions 2011 Week 11 they have little margin for error as South Carolina (handed Georgia one of its two losses) trails them by just a half game in the league standings. Each of the two teams closes out the season with a tough non-conference battle, Georgia faces Georgia Tech and South Carolina meets Clemson, but today represents, arguably, the biggest challenge the two schools have left on their respective schedules. The Gamecocks will host East rival Florida while Georgia clashes with the defending National Champions. The Tigers are a far cry from the team they were a season ago, but they still present some challenges as their wins over Mississippi State, South Carolina, and Florida would indicate. This is the Bulldogs game to lose, though, as they look to start a new win streak against their SEC rival. Prior to Auburn's 49-31 victory over Georgia last year, Mark Richt's club had won four in a row in this series by an average of 14.5 points per game.
