The Trojans recovered from their 20-47 route at Oregon two weekends ago by squeaking by Arizona State 14-9 at Sun Devil Stadium last Saturday. The victory improved USC's record to 7-2 overall and 4-2 in conference action, which has them in fourth place in the league standings.

Pete Carroll's troops were anything but impressive against the Sun Devils, getting the win mostly due to four ASU turnovers. USC had just 12 first downs and 258 yards of offense and they lost the time of possession battle by nearly seven minutes. Quarterback Matt Barkley, completed just 7-of-22 passes for 112 yards, a touchdown and an interception.
