College Football Odds 2011 Week 12: The top 10 went 7-2 straight up last weekend, but it tallied a 4-5 record against the spread, making it the second consecutive non-winning weekend for the nation's best teams. No top 10 squads will square off against one another this weekend; however, a couple of teams will face difficult tests and some wide spreads as Oregon takes on USC and Oklahoma State, Stanford, and LSU find themselves giving 20 or more points.
No. 18 USC Trojans vs No. 4 Oregon Ducks (-15): Oregon wrested control of the Pac 12's North Division on Saturday by
pounding then No. 4 Stanford 53-30 in Palo Alto. The Ducks offense did not play with its usual efficiency, posting 18 first downs (1-for-9 on third down) and 387 total yards, but the Cardinal's five turnovers, including two interceptions from Andrew Luck, helped them crest the 50 point mark. Oregon's LaMichael James did have a big game, though, rushing for 146 yards and three touchdowns on just 20 carries. Now Chip Kelly's troops must deal with an 8-2 USC team that is playing its best football of the season. The Trojans did lose 56-48 in triple overtime at Stanford three weeks ago, but they have rebounded with double digit wins over Colorado and Washington. Oregon has won three of the last four in this series, and the last two in decisive fashion, but USC looks better equipped to deal with the Ducks this time around. While I'm not calling for a Trojan upset, the 15 point line does seem a little steep.
