College Football Point Spreads 2011 Week 12: Conference action has been full bore for some time now, but it really heats up this week with title hopes on the line for a number of teams. Several Big Ten squads, in particular, will put it all on the line this weekend as Nebraska, Michigan, Penn State, and Wisconsin battle it out for the top spots in their respective divisions.
No/ 16 Nebraska Cornhuskers vs No. 18 Michigan Wolverines (-3.5): Both of these teams are still alive for the Legends title
as they each own 4-2 conference records, but they need first place Michigan State (5-1) to lose one of its final two games (Indiana, at Northwestern) in order to gain division control. That may seem like a remote possibility, but certainly not out of the question. What is certain, though, is the loser of this weekend's game being eliminated for the championship chase. Michigan, which has played its last two games on the road, has the upper hand considering its record at home this season. The Wolverines have defeated all Big House comers this season by an average of 26.2 points per game. However, Nebraska represents, by far, Michigan's most difficult home test as its early schedule featured teams like Western Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Minnesota, and Purdue. While the Big House environment may be hard to duplicate, the Huskers have already been tested at places like Camp Randall and Beaver Stadium. Nebraska's previous road stops should quell any sort of intimidation factor that may or may not exist.
