UCLA at Washington 2010 College Football Picks: The UCLA Bruins football team travels to Seattle for a rare Thursday game (8 pm ET, ESPN) with Washington at Huskies Stadium. UCLA, at 4-5, needs two wins before becoming bowl eligible with three games to play.
The Huskies, hampered with quarterback Jake Locker on the shelf, get him back for tonight's game, increasing their chances at picking up a win. At 3-6, the Huskies would need to win their final three games, with UCLA, at Cal and at Washington State, before becoming bowl qualified. The chances of that happening are slim but not impossible. Tonight's game should be a competitive affair, knowing that the loser will probably sit home during bowl season.
Washington is lined a 2-chalk favorite at online sportsbook SBGglobal.com with a posted total of 53 points. The SBG Global line is consistent with other sportsbook across the college football board.
The Bruins have won the last three contests played, including a 24-23 decision a season ago in the Rose Bowl. Washington's last win in this series was a 29-19 victory in 2006 over the Bruins in Seattle. UCLA bested the Huskies 27-7 in the last meeting played in Seattle in 2008. UCLA coach Rick Neuheisel is 3-0 overall vs. Washington, 2-0 while at UCLA.
The Huskies will welcome back Locker who sat out Nov. 6 with a broken rib. Locker has been bothered with thigh and rib problems of late, and the Huskies offensive production has shown it.

A key for Washington will be if they can get some consistent offense from a unit that's struggled, and can the Huskies defense stop a good UCLA pistol rushing attack. The Huskies defense has had problems stopping the run all year.
Reno Gold's pick: I like UCLA better in this game better than Washington but not much. If Locker were at 100% I might think different. My pick is UCLA getting +2.
