Most of the top ranked Big Ten and Big 12 teams do not have that luxury with no fewer than six ranked teams from the two conferences clashing on the gridirion tomorrow.
No. 13 Kansas State Wildcats vs No. 23 Texas Longhorns (-8.5): It's the mystery line of the week as
, once again, Bill Synder's Wildcats are severely undervalued. Kansas State has brought it every week and they have covered the number in all but two games (Eastern Kentucky, Oklahoma). The Wildcats have also proven their road chops beating Miami, Texas Tech, and Kansas by an average of 16.3 points per game before taking No. 2 Oklahoma State to the wire in Stillwater two weekends ago (lost 52-45). Texas, meanwhile, has turned in some solid performances, but in terms of consistency against a similar level of competition, it has failed to prove itself the equal of Kansas State. The Longhorns, like K-State, got blown out by the Sooners, but they lost at home to Oklahoma State by 12 points and fell to Missouri (lost to the Wildcats 24-17) by the same number. Texas may get the win here and they may get the cover, but the 8.5 point line makes no sense whatsoever.
