USC vs Oregon Spread 2011 College Football Predictions: Oregon will attempt to wrap up the Pac 12's North Division tomorrow evening when it welcomes the USC Trojans to Autzen Stadium in Eugene. Saturday's big game, which features the Ducks as a -14.5 against the spread home favorite, is scheduled to kickoff at 8:00pm ET on ABC. Oregon, outside of its opener with LSU, faced its most difficult test of the season last weekend in Palo Alto. The Ducks were
charged with handing the then No. 4 Stanford Cardinal their first loss of the season; they completed their task with relative ease, winning the game 53-30.
Oregon's offense did not produce in the same manner that it usually does, posting 18 first downs and 387 total yards, but it did not need to thanks to a strong defensive effort. The Ducks defense repeatedly left LaMichael James and company with great field position as they forced five Stanford turnovers.
Oregon, which ranks third in the nation in scoring offense (46.7 points per game), may not be able to depend on the same type of opponent collapse this weekend. The 8-2 Trojans, given their current probation, have very little to play for other than making life miserable for their conference brethren.
Thus far USC has been good at doing just that, with the exception of games against Arizona State and Stanford. The Trojans thumped Utah, Arizona, California, Colorado, and Washington by an average of 17 points per game and they nearly dropped the Cardinal, losing 56-48 at home to Andrew Luck and company in triple overtime.
Recent history in this rivalry would suggest USC is headed for another fall tomorrow, though. The Trojans have lost three of their last four against the Ducks and they were hardly competitive in the last two meetings, losing 20-47 and 32-53.
College Football Predictions Betting Trend: Oregon is 5-1-1 against the spread and 7-0 straight up as a home favorite with a spread between 14 and 17.5 and a total of 54.5 or more.
