The Troy University Trojans and Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders will kick off the Thanksgiving week football lineup when they play at Movie Gallery Stadium on the campus of Troy University in Troy, Ala., at 7:00 p.m. ET. The game is to be televised by ESPN2.
Troy is leading the Sun Belt Conference with a 5-0 league mark and are 8-3 overall. The only blemishes on Troy’s record are against SEC teams, Arkansas, Florida and Georgia. Troy picked up a big win versus a BCS school on Sept. 14 when they pounded BIG XII member Oklahoma State 41-23. Troy will clinch the outright Sun Belt championship with a win over the Blue Raiders and Florida Atlantic on Dec. 1.
For MTSU (5-6, 4-2) to earn a share of the conference title, Florida Atlantic (4-1 in Sun Belt) must lose to Florida International (0-4), and Troy (5-0) must lose to MTSU and Florida Atlantic.
