College Football Week 13: National focus on Kansas Jayhawks and Missouri Tigers

Looking at what lies ahead, college football’s week-13 looks to be a doozy. At the seasons beginning, who would have dreamed Kansas and Missouri would be the No. 2 and No. 4 BCS schools going into the final full week of the regular season. Up until now, the BIG XII North has been a laughing stock while the champions from the south division have been in the championship hunt. With Oklahoma going down to Texas Tech last Saturday night, the BIG XII North is officially the new sheriff in town. However, the winner of Saturday’s game in Lawrence between the Jayhawks and Tigers will have to prove their worth probably against the Sooners who only need a win over Oklahoma State to represent the south in the BIG XII Championship game. Kansas is a 2-point home favorite according to BetUS oddsmakers.

BCS No. 1 LSU will try to hold on to more than the Silver Boot, a trophy that goes annually to the winner of the LSU/Arkansas game. With a spot in the SEC title game already clinched versus either Tennessee or Georgia, the Tigers could lose its chance of winning a national championship if they stumble against the Hogs on Friday.
