Michigan vs Ohio State 2010 College Football Predictions, Picks & Odds

by Matt Foust on Friday, November 26th, 2010

Michigan vs Ohio State 2010 College Football Predictions, 2010 College Football Picks & 2010 College Football Odds: College football's greatest rivals will meet tomorrow at Ohio Stadium as Michigan travels to the Buckeye State to face Ohio State. The annual clash between the two Big Ten adversaries is scheduled to kickoff at 12:00pm ET on ABC. 2010 College Football Predictions, Picks & Odds at online bookmaker BetUS.com have the Buckeyes listed as a -16.5 against the spread home favorite and the game total set at 63.5.

Michigan, which is currently seventh in the Big Ten standings with a 3-4 conference record and 7-4 overall tally, faces a tall Michigan vs Ohio State 2010 College Football Predictions, Picks & Oddsorder in overcoming Ohio State tomorrow. The Wolverines have flashed some brilliant offense this season, scoring 65 or more points on two occasions while averaging 36.8 points per game; however, their defense has left much to be desired.

Michigan is allowing 33.5 points per game on the season and an even worse 39.6 points per contest in conference play. Every Big Ten team that the Wolverines have faced has scored at least 34 points with the exception of Purdue, which fell to Michigan by a score of 27-16.

If the Wolverines defense performs poorly against the Buckeyes, which is almost a given considering Ohio State is averaging 44.6 points per game at home, than quarterback Denard Robinson will need an incredible showing in order to keep his team in the game.

Robinson, however, is capable of producing a freakish offense performance. The sophomore signal caller has rushed for 190 plus yards four times and he has accounted for three or more touchdowns (rushing/passing) six times this season.

The Buckeyes come into tomorrow's game with a 10-1 record and 6-1 mark in Big Ten play. Ohio State is also still in the mix for the Big Ten title, but it does need the improbable to take place in order for that to come to fruition. First, the Buckeyes must take care of business against Michigan (not so improbable), then they need both Michigan State (at Penn State) and Wisconsin (Northwestern) to lose.

The Buckeyes can own a co-share of the conference championship with a Spartans victory and a Badgers loss, but if Wisconsin wins, Jim Tressel's squad is out of the mix.

Ohio State has won four in a row against Michigan at Ohio Stadium and it is 8-2 in its last 10 meetings with the Wolverines (six in a row). Michigan last defeated the Buckeyes in 2003 when they scored a 35-21 victory at the Big House.

College Football Predictions Betting Trend: Ohio State is 9-1 straight up and 7-3 against the spread in its last three games as a home favorite with a spread between 14 and 17.5.
