Florida vs Alabama 2009 SEC Championship Opening Point SpreadPrior to last weeks games, Alabama had been a trendy pick to defeat Florida but that was before Tide running back and Heisman Trophy candidate Mark Ingram suffered a hip-pointer in the Iron Bowl with Auburn. On Monday Ingram said he will be ready for Saturday's game.

"It (the hip) feels good," Ingram said early Monday afternoon. "I kind of bruised it in the game, but it feels better. So I’ll be ready for Saturday, most definitely.”

Florida coach Urban Meyer, having faced the Crimson Tide in last years championship game expects them to be better in this years game.

"Their personnel is very similar from a year ago," Meyer said.  "They are another year older, another year better." Of course the same can be said for the 12-0 Gators who will be seeking their third national championship in four years.
