The Boston College Eagles and the Virgina Tech Hokies will battle it out today for the ACC Championship. The game, scheduled to kick off at 1:00pm ET at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay, FL, is a rematch of last year's game, which Virgina Tech won by a score of 30-16. The winner receives an automatic bid to the Orange Bowl on January 1st.

Boston College comes into this contest with a 9-3 record and they have won four games in a row. The Eagles finished conference play tied with Florida State at 5-3, but a head to head 27-17 victory over the Seminoles gave them the ACC Atlantic division crown.
Senior passer Chris Crane has done a decent job filling in for the NFL departed Matt Ryan, but the Eagles offense is mostly a ground oriented attack. Boston College is averaging 26.7 points per game and 319.8 yards per game, of which 151.7 is rushing yardage.
The Hokies of Virginia Tech are having what would appear to be a down year, at least by their standards. However, Frank Beamer's team sports an 8-4 record and won the ACC Coastal division thanks to a 20-17 victory over the 9-3 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Georgia Tech finished the year with a better overall record (9-3), but their conference record was the same as the Hokies (5-3).
Virginia Tech still fields a tough defensive unit as they have held teams to just 274.6 yards per game and 17.9 points per game.
ACC Championship Game Betting Trend: The Over is 7-3 in Boston College's last 10 games with a total between 37 and 41.
