Florida Gators vs Oklahoma Sooners 2009 BCS Championship Game Odds at BetUS.com have the Gators listed as a -3 favorite.
Oklahoma (12-1) found itself in some controversy last week after passing Texas, a team that beat them head to head and had the same overall record, in the BCS rankings. However, the Sooners performance down the stretch leaves little doubt that they are worthy of a shot at the national championship.
On Saturday, Oklahoma drove that point home by pounding the Missouri Tigers 62-21 in the Big 12 Championship Game. The wash out victory marked the fifth straight game in which the Sooners scored 60 or more points, a feat no other team in college football has ever accomphlished.
Florida (12-1) pulled off this week the same thing that Oklahoma managed to do last week, which was a jump over Texas in the BCS rankings. The Gators were ranked number four prior to the SEC Championship Game, but their 31-20 victory over then number one ranked Alabama was enough to push them past the idle number three Longhorns.
The Gators were overpowering in their final seven games, winning by an average of 38.1points per game. Their win over the Crimson Tide, while tightly contested throughout, was enough to earn them a shot at winning their second national title in three years.
BetUS.com's Florida Gators vs Oklahoma Sooners 2009 BCS Championship Game Odds:
Florida Gators -3 (-110)
Oklahoma Sooners +3 (-110)
