Nebraska vs. Missouri College Football Picks: The  University of Missouri Tigers football team, at 4-0, is one of a few teams from BCS conference's still undefeated in 2009 - and has crept into the AP college football polls at No. 18 (USA-Today/Coaches) and No. 24 AP. Thursday night, Mizzou will host No. 21 Nebraska (3-1) at Faurot Field (9 pm ET ESPN-HD) in a BIG 12 North battle, a game that will be their most challenging game to date.

Nebraska vs. Missouri College Football Picks oddsmakers at BetUS.com list Missouri as +3 1/2 home underdogs to the rival Cornhuskers with a 52 1/2 total. Mizzou backers are getting +145 moneyline juice while Husker backers are giving -165 moneyline.

For gamblers wondering why Missouri is getting points at home, the answer is simple. Missouri has not been challenged. Though no fault of their own, Missouri opened with a big win over Illinois, a team expected to be pretty good in 2009. Now that we are a month into the season, we know Illinois is not as good as what it had been cracked up to be via pre-season predictions. Missouri followed the Illinois win with victories over two non-BCS teams, Bowling Green and Nevada, and a team from the FCS ranks - Furman.

Nebraska is 3-1 SU on the season and 4-0 ATS. Nebraska had big wins over three Sun Belt (non-BCS) programs - Florida Atlantic, Arkansas State, and Louisiana-Lafayette and a single loss on the road at Virginia Tech. The Cornhuskers lost late in that game 15-16. That single point loss to the current No. 5 Hokies, is better in the eyes of oddsmakers than Missouri's win over Illinois.

College Football Picks: Non-BCS programs Bowling Green and Nevada were very competitive against Mizzou and could have pulled out wins. Nebraska rolled the three opponents they were expected to beat. If you're looking for a good bet for Thursday's game there is only one play..Take the Huskers -3 1/2.

College Football Picks Week 6 PDF Print E-mail

College Football Picks Week 6: Everybody loves a winner, but there is nothing wrong with a loser that brings home the bacon week in and week out. After five weeks of college football action, there a several teams that have established themselves as great fades. Some of the teams may be more high profile than others, but the return is the same at the cashier's window. Check out online bookmaker SBGglobal.com for the latest College Football Picks Week 6 and odds on two classic faders.

Illinois: The Fighting Illini are a perfect example of an overvalued team that odds makers have yet to make an adjustment College Football Picks Week 6on. Ron Zook's team received way too much preseason hype and people in the know took advantage of this as Illinois went 1-3 straight up and 0-4 against the spread. The team, which just benched quarterback Juice Williams, is presently listed as a +4.5 home dog in this weekend's meeting with Michigan State. They still look like a great fade, especially in this situation. Consider that Illinois is 0-7 straight up and 2-5 against the spread in their last seven games as a home dog with a spread between 4 and 7.5. Take the Spartans and keep cashing on the Ron Zook express to oblivion.

New Mexico: This team stinks out loud and the odds makers know it, they just have not inhaled the full stinch. The Lobos are 0-5 straight up under first year coach Mike Locksley and they are just 1-4 against the point spread. Their only cover occurred last week when they were listed as a +34.5 road dog against Texas Tech. This week they take on Mountain West rival Wyoming in Laramie. New Mexico is coming in at +10 right now, which seems like a good time to jump on them considering their recent history against the Pokes, but do not be fooled. Wyoming should be able to move the ball on the ground against the Lobos soft defense, thus controlling the line of scrimmage, the clock, and the game.

SBGglobal.com College Football Picks Week 6:

Nebraska -3
Missouri +3

Michigan State -4.5
Illinois +4.5

Boston College +13.5

The Raiders are 0-8 straight up in their last eight meetings with the Trojans. But Troy, which has won the last three Sun Belt Championships, appears to be somewhat ripe for the picking this year. Middle Tennessee took out the Mean Green in their last contest by a score of 37-21 as quarterback Dwight Dasher turned in another great performance. Dasher, who leads the Sun Belt in passing, completed 21-of-43 passes for 269 yards and two touchdowns while rushing 16 times for 75 yards and two scores.

Quarterback Levi Brown completed 33-of-46 passes for 355 yards and two touchdowns. Brown connected with junior wide receiver Tebiarus Gill 10 times for 85 yards and a score.

The Troy rushing attack used a variety of backs to arrive at a 134 yard total, but DuJuan Harris led the team with 13 carries for 48 yards and a touchdown.

Middle Tennessee at Troy College Football Picks: The Troy University Trojans and Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders, probably the two best college football teams in the Sun Belt Conference, will battle for the Palladium Trophy, annually awarded to the games winner, in a rare Tuesday night college football game at Movie Gallery Veterans Stadium in Troy, Ala., with kick-off set for 8:00 pm ET on ESPN2.

Middle Tennessee at Troy College Football PicksCollege football picks oddsmakers at Sportsbook.com list Troy as 5-chalk ATS and -230 moneyline favorite while total odds are currently off board.

Early betting trends show 87% of side bets are falling on Troy to cover -5. Currently trend figures are unavailable for moneyline wagers.

The Blue Raiders have been great for backers going 3-1 SU and have cashed 3-1 ATS. The OVER has cashed in totals betting in three of four games played. Troy has split 2-2 in four games ATS, SU and total O/U.

Middle Tennessee State's Blue Raiders football team has been the surprise of the Sun Belt Conference in 2009 with a 3-1 record including a road victory at Maryland (ACC) in week 3. The Blue Raiders have also claimed impressive wins over Memphis (C-USA) and North Texas. MTSU's only loss came in its season opening game, falling on the road 14-37 to Clemson, also of the ACC.

Troy, the pre-season choice to win the 2009 Sun Belt title, have won two straight games after getting the season off to a rough start  losing 31-14 at Bowling Green and 56-6 at Florida, the Trojans have gotten back to .500 (2-2) and earned a very impressive road win at Arkansas State in their Sun Belt opener.

The Trojans and Blue Raiders match up well offensively, and the game has the elements to be very interesting on both sides.

College Football Picks: This is a difficult pick knowing that Troy is very difficult to beat at Movie Gallery Stadium - however, this a good road tested Blue Raiders football team. Take Middle Tennessee and +5.
