Tim Tebow, the 2007 Heisman Trophy winner has a new monkey on his back and its name is repeat. Tebow, who walked off with the coveted Heisman Saturday night is expected to be the first player to win the Heisman in back to back years since Archie Griffin of Ohio State won in years 1974 and 75.
Arkansas running back Darren McFadden finished 2nd in voting for this years Heisman, the first time a player finished No. 2 in consecutive seasons since 1949. McFadden is expected to enter the 2008 NFL draft. If McFadden opts to play his senior year the Heisman run would undoubtedly be a strong contender.

Looking ahead to next year , there is no shortage of names expected to enter the Heisman fray. Now that the sophomore stigma has been removed, Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford will challenge Tebow. Bradford started as a freshman at OU, a team that returns almost everyone from its 2007 BIG XII championship year.
Another rising sophomore who’s name will be added to Heisman talk is Texas Tech wide receiver Michael Crabtree. The Biletnikoff winner as a freshman had 125 catches for 1,861 yards and 21 touchdowns.
Central Florida running back Kevin Smith led the nation in rushing in 2007 but was overlooked this year, a mistake that won’t happen next year. If Smith returns for his senior season there is no doubt he will be a finalist in 2008.
Arkansas running back Felix Jones, who played second fiddle to McFadden has gained over 1000 yards rushing the past two seasons and a special teams All-American, will be considered providing he returns for his senior season. Jones is a projected 1st round draft pick in the 2008 NFL draft.
