The 2008 Heisman Trophy presentation is just around the corner and last year's winner, Florida quarterback Tim Tebow, is once again a finalist to take home the most recognized award in all of college football. The winner will be announced this Saturday, December 13th at 8:00pm ET on ESPN.

If the 21 year old phenom is able to bring home the trophy this year, he will join former Ohio State standout Archie Griffin as the only two time winners of the Heisman. 
In his 2007 Heisman winning campaign, Tebow posted 3286 passing yards, 32 touchdowns (six interceptions), and a 172.47 passer rating. He also rushed for 895 yards and scored 23 rushing touchdowns. However, his team finished with a 9-4 record and in third place in the SEC's East division.
This season the Jacksonville native has thrown for 2515 yards, 28 touchdowns (two interceptions), and amassed a 176.74 passer rating. His team found more success though, finishing the year with a 12-1 record and a first place finish in the SEC East.
Last Saturday Tebow led the Gators to a 31-20 victory over then undefeated Alabama in the SEC Championship Game. The junior quarterback threw for 216 yards and three touchdowns in securing Florida's eighth SEC title. The victory also guaranteed the Gators appearance in the FedEX BCS National Championship Game on January 8th against the Oklahoma Sooners.
