The college football bowl season is just around the corner, kicking off with four games this Saturday, December 20th. Northwestern, 9-3, finished fourth in the Big 10 standings this year after going 5-3 in conference play. The Wildcats have won their last two games, beating Michigan (21-14) and Illinois (27-10). They are currently 23rd in the BCS rankings and 22nd in the last AP poll. Northwestern has held teams to 19.3 points per game this season.
Konica Minolta Gator Bowl: Clemson Tigers vs Nebraska Cornhuskers (+2.5, O/U 55.5) 
The 64th annual Gator Bowl kicks off at 1:00pm ET on January 1st at the Jacksonville Municipal Stadium in Jacksonville, FL (CBS). The Big 12's Nebraska Cornhuskers enter the game with an 8-4 record after finishing in second place in the Big 12 North standings. The Huskers, who have won three games in a row and five of their last six, are not ranked. Bo Pelini's club is averaging 36.2 points per game on the season.
Clemson finished the regular season with a 7-5 record and in fourth place in the ACC's Atlantic division. The Tigers had some struggles in the middle portion of their schedule, but they finished strong, winning their last three game against Duke, Virginia, and South Carolina. The Tigers have held opponents to an average of 16.6 points per game this year.
