Central Florida vs. Rutgers – 2009 St. Petersburg Bowl: The 2009 College Football Bowl season moves to the Florida Gulf Coast Saturday night for the St. Petersburg Bowl in a battle of the Knights. Big East member Rutgers Scarlet Knights will battle the Central Florida Knights of Conference-USA with kickoff time set for 7 pm ET (ESPN2). Central Florida (8-4) finished second in the Big East and Rutgers (8-4) tied for fourth in the Big East.
The Scarlet Knights got to 7-2 about a month ago, but lost two of their last three. Nonetheless, they'll play in a bowl for the fifth straight season. The Golden Knights, meanwhile, started 3-3, then won five of their last six, and are playing in a bowl after missing out last season.
