Kentucky vs. Clemson College Football Picks: The SEC makes its 2009 bowl debut on Sunday (8:30 p.m. ET) when the Kentucky Wildcats take on the Clemson Tigers of the ACC in the Music City Bowl at LP field in Nashville, Tenn.
This game is one of perception. Clemson is perceived as an upper-crust ACC program while Kentucky is a mediocre team in the SEC; a league perceived as the nations best. The Tigers were quickly lined as a touchdown favorite once these teams were matched.
Today's game will feature two pretty good running teams with talented running backs. Clemson's C.J. Spiller was in the Heisman Trophy race almost until the end of the regular season. Spiller has been arguably the most exciting offensive player in the country and for sure the ACC.
Kentucky's Randall Cobb is a very underated player who has All-SEC credentials. Cobb is a game breaker who can carry his team on his shoulders. Kentucky will not be throwing the ball often only averaging 142.8 yards a game for a 114 national ranking in that area.
The key to this game is in the running game. The team who can run will probably win. It could also come down to special teams.
College Football Picks: We like Kentucky getting the +7 chalk in what we see as an evenly matched game.
