One doesn’t have to look hard to find the top two rushing offenses in the FBS of the NCAA. Georgia Tech ran with the ball 696 times, and gained, 3924 yards in the process. The Yellow Jackets rushed for a national best 327 yards per game average.  Air Force follows ranked No. 2, running the ball 699 times for 3815 yards, a per game average of 317.92 yards.

Georgia Tech is in the Independence Bowl after finishing with a 6-6 record in the ACC, and following Miami and Virginia Tech in the leagues Coastal Division. It was a disappointing year for the Yellow Jackets as they were expected to contend for the conference championship.

Air Force went 8-4 overall and finished fourth in the Mountain West Conference with a 5-3 league mark. The Falcons also won the Commander in Chief Trophy after defeating both Navy and Army.
