Bowling Green vs Idaho 2009 Roady's Humanitarian Bowl Picks, Predictions & Odds: The 13th annual Humanitarian Bowl features a battle between the Bowling Green Falcons and the Idaho Vandals. The postseason clash is scheduled to kickoff at 4:30pm ET tomorrow, December 30th, at Bronco Stadium in Boise, Idaho; it will be televised live on ESPN. 2009 Roady's Humanitarian Bowl Picks, Predictions & Odds at online bookmaker Bodog.com have Bowling Green listed as a -1 against the spread favorite.

The Bowling Green Falcons appeared to be headed nowhere under first year coach Dave Clawson, jumping out to a 1-4 start Bowling Green vs Idaho 2009 Roady's Humanitarian Bowl Picks, Predictions & Oddsthat included losses to Marshall and Ohio. However, the Falcons regrouped during the heart of their schedule, going 6-2 in league play in route to a bowl eligible 7-5 record. Bowling Green closed out the regular season on a four game win streak, which helped the Falcons to a third place finish in the MAC's East Division behind Ohio and Temple.

Clawson's Falcons are producing an average of 27.3 points per game coming into tomorrow's meeting with the Vandals. Their passing attack, led by senior quarterback Tyler Sheehan, averages 310 yards per game. Sheehan threw for 3665 yards, 23 touchdowns and just six interceptions this season. The Cincinnati native connected with fellow senior, wideout Freddie Barnes, 138 times for 1551 yards and 16 scores. Barnes 138 receptions and 16 receiving touchdowns were tops in the FBS this year.

Idaho, a team many projected to finish dead last in the WAC (like it did in 2007 and 2008), shocked friend and foe alike by putting together its first winning season since 1999. The Vandals went 7-5, despite closing out the regular season with three straight losses, and finished fourth in the WAC standings with a 4-4 conference record. The solid season garnered Idaho just its second bowl bid ever. Coincidently, the Vandals only previous postseason appearance came in the 1998 Humanitarian Bowl, which it won 42-35 over Southern Mississippi.

The Vandals are also a pass happy squad, averaging over 290.6 yards per game through the air. Junior quarterback Nathan Enderle, despite missing two starts, threw for 2666 yards and 18 touchdowns this year.

2009 Roady's Humanitarian Bowl Betting Trend: The Falcons are 7-3 against the spread and straight up in their last 10 games as a favorite with a total of 54.5 or more.
