Iowa vs Iowa State College Football Predictions, College Football Picks & College Football Odds: Bitter rivals Iowa and Iowa State will meet tomorrow at 12:00 at Jack Trice Stadium in Ames to settle their annual grudge match. The score is usually close in this heated match up, and the Cyclones have won three of the last five games played in Ames. College Football Predictions at Sportsbook.com have the visiting Hawkeyes listed as a -6.5 against the spread favorite in tomorrow's in-state showdown. The Cyclones got a win for Head Coach Paul Rhoads in his maiden voyage with the program by beating North Dakota State 34-17 last Thursday night. Quarterback Austen Arnaud starred for Iowa State, leading the offense to 442 total yards after completing 16-of-28 passes for 227 yards and two touchdowns. The junior passer also got it done on the ground as he carried the ball 17 times for 78 yards and a score. Rhoads, who served as Auburn's defensive coordinator prior to taking the job with Iowa State, was probably not pleased with the Cyclones defensive effort. The Bison racked up 388 total yards and ran for 210 at a 5.5 yard per carry rate. Iowa dodged the major upset bullet on Saturday, just getting by Northern Iowa 17-16 at Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City. The Hawkeyes trailed going into the fourth quarter and needed two blocked field goals from Jeremiha Hunter in the final seconds to preserve the one point win. The performance was so poor that Kirk Ferentz' squad dropped from the AP rankings. For the game, the Hawkeyes offense had 329 yards, converted just three third downs, and averaged a paltry 2.8 yards per carry. Despite the poor numbers, quarterback Richard Stanzi did put together a quality outing, completing 22-of-34 passes for 242 yards and a touchdown. Iowa's defense, which returned eight starters for last year's 9-4 squad, gave up 354 yards to Northern Iowa. The Hawkeyes benefited from the Panthers self destructive behavior as UNI racked up nine offensive penalties. College Football Predictions Betting Trend: The Cyclones are 8-2 against the spread in the last 10 games in this series when playing as an underdog. Sportsbook.com Iowa vs Iowa State College Football Predictions, Picks & Odds: Iowa Hawkeyes -6.5 (-110), Over 45.5 (-110), -260 (Moneyline) Iowa State Cyclones +6.5 (-110), Under 45.5 (-110), +220 (Moneyline) Get a 100% Deposit Bonus at Sportsbook.com, simply use promo code WIN100 and start winning today! |

North Carolina vs Connecticut College Football Picks, College Football Predictions & College Football Odds: The Big East and the ACC will clash tomorrow afternoon when the North Carolina Tar Heels and the Connecticut Huskies mix it up at Rentschler Field in Storrs, Connecticut. THe non-conference tilt is scheduled to kickoff at 12:00pm ET and will be broadcast live in ESPNU. Online bookmaker BetUS.com has the Tar Heels listed as a -4 against the spread road favorite in their College Football Picks. UConn started their season off with a nice road win, beating the Ohio Bobcats 23-16 in Athens, Ohio last Saturday. The Huskies lost nine starters from last year's 8-5 team, including quarterback Tyler Lorenzen and running back Donald Brown. Sophomore tailback Jordan Todman looked capable of filling Brown's shoes, at least against the Bobcats, leading the Huskies to a 386 to 247 yard advantage with a 25 carry, 157 yard performance. Frazer, who filled in for an injured Lorenzen last year, did not fare as well as Todman. The junior signal caller completed just 11 of his 24 pass attempts for 127 yards, and, despite two touchdowns tosses, he kept Ohio in the game by throwing three picks. The Huskies defense stepped up and held the Bobcats to just 61 yards rushing (1.9 yards per carry). Defensive lineman Lindsey Witten had a stand out game, recording two sacks and two tackles for loss in the victory. The No. 19 Tar Heels had an easy go of it in their first 2009 foray, whipping the Citadel 40-6 in Chapel Hill on Saturday. Butch Davis' troops built a 23-0 halftime lead and kept the Bulldogs off the scoreboard until midway through the fourth quarter. Running backs Shaun Draughn and Ryan Houston led North Carolina on offense, combining for 163 yards on 26 carries. Houston also punched in short touchdown runs in both the second and third quarters. The Tar Heels closed out the day with 375 total yards, 261 of which came on the ground. The Citadel did not have the same kind of success against UNC's defense as the Bulldogs had 153 yards for the game and converted just two of their 16 third down opportunities. The Heels also forced four Citadel turnovers. College Football Picks Betting Trend: North Carolina is 6-1 against the spread and 7-0 straight up in their last eight games playing as a road favorite with a spread between 4 and 7.5. BetUS.com North Carolina vs Connecticut College Football Picks, Predictions & Odds: North Carolina Tar Heels -4 (-110), Over 45.5 (-110), -175 (Moneyline) Connecticut Huskies +4 (-110), Under 45.5 (-110), +155 (Moneyline) Bet on sports at online sportsbook BetUS.com and receive up to 145% in Cash Bonuses and start winning today! |

Syracuse vs Penn State College Football Predictions, College Football Picks & College Football Odds: Unfortunately for Syracuse fans, new Head Coach Doug Marrone and his Orange are in State College, Pennsylvania this weekend, which is probably not the ideal spot to rebound from a hard fought home loss. Nevertheless, the Orange will strap it up against the Nittany Lions at 12:00pm ET tomorrow at Beaver Stadium; the game will be broadcast live on the Big 10 Network. College football predictions at Bodog.com have Joe Paterno's squad listed as a -28.5 against the spread favorite. The Doug Marrone era got off to a rough start as his team fell 23-20 in overtime to the Minnesota Golden Gophers. Still, the team played competitively, which is more than can be said about the majority of their performances under Greg Robinson. Quarterback and former Duke hoopster Greg Paulus acquitted himself well for someone who probably has played very little football over the past four years. The senior completed 19-of-31 passes for 167 yards and touchdown. Unfortunately for Marrone and the Orange, Paulus' one mistake occurred in overtime when he tossed an interception in the endzone. Paulus' miscue was not the only thing that doomed Syracuse, however. The Orange managed just 257 yards of offense, converted one third down in 13 attempts, and committed eight penalites for a total of 68 yards. Those numbers might be worse this weekend against a far superior Penn State squad. The No. 7 ranked Nittany Lions made quick work of the Akron Zips on Saturday, jumping out to a 31-0 halftime lead. Penn State put it in cruise control in the second half to bring home an easy 31-7 win. Daryl Clark had an excellent day under center, throwing for 353 yards and three touchdowns. Clark guided the Lions to 515 total yards with the help of wide receiver Derek Moye and running back Evan Royster. Moye caught six passes for 138 yards and a score while Royster ran for 61 yards and a touchdown in just 14 carries. Penn State's defense destoyed the Zips offensive attack, limiting Akron to 186 yards on the day. J.D. Brockhart's troops converted just three third downs and averaged a paltry 3.4 yards per play. Lions linebacker Nathan Stupar led the defense with 12 tackles and a sack. Colorado vs Toledo College Football Odds, College Football Picks & College Football Predictions: The Colorado Buffaloes and the Toledo Rockets are set to mix it up tonight at the Glass Bowl in Toledo, Ohio. The Buffs are coming off a tough season opening loss to Colorado State in Boulder while the Rockets fell to Purdue in West-Lafayette on Saturday. College football odds at Sportsbook.com have the visiting Buffaloes pegged as a -4 against the spread favorite. Dan Hawkins' hot seat got a little hotter on Sunday night when his Buffaloes dropped a big pile of stink at Folsom Field. The neighboring Rams left Boulder with a 23-17 win, but the final score was not totally indicative of the beating Colorado State put on Colorado. Hawkins team, which was suppose to feature a renewed running game with a healthy offensive line in place, racked up just 29 yards on the ground while averaging 1.4 yards per carry. Part of that low total can be attributed to a 20-3 first half deficit that forced the Buffs to air it out a little more than they would have liked. Quarterback Cody Hawkins ended up throwing 40 passes, completing 24 for 222 yards. Colorado's defense gave up 376 yards to Colorado State, and despite two turnovers, the Rams held the ball for 32:54 compared to 27:06 for the Buffaloes. Hawkins' team will probably welcome the site of Toledo's blue, white, and gold uniforms tonight, though. The Rockets defense looked like a Pop Warner team on Saturday against the Boilermakers, giving up 535 yards in a 31-52 loss. Purdue accumulated 315 yards via the run while averaging 8.1 yards per carry. Those numbers would suggest that Colorado should have little trouble establishing the ground game many people expected to see against Colorado State. However, Buffaloes fans should not chalk up a win just yet. Toledo can move the ball up and down the field, and based upon Colorado's defensive effort Sunday night, the Rockets could find the endzone with some degree of regularity. Toledo racked up 493 yards, 423 of which came through the air. Quarterback Aaron Opelt is still icing his arm after completing 41-of-67 passes for 423 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions. Opelt zeroed in on Stephen Williams and Eric Page (true freshman) as the two receivers combined for 27 catches, 313 yards, and three touchdowns. Tonight's game is scheduled to kickoff at 9:00pm ET on ESPN. College Football Odds Betting Trend: Toledo is 4-1 against the spread in their last five games as a home dog of +6 or less coming off a road loss. Sportsbook.com Colorado vs Toledo College Football Odds, Picks & Predictions: Colorado Buffaloes -4 (-110), Over 54 (-110), -180 (Moneyline) Toledo Rockets +4 (-110), Under 54 (-110), +160 (Moneyline) Get a 100% Deposit Bonus at Sportsbook.com, simply use promo code WIN100 and start winning today! |

Clemson vs Georgia Tech College Football Picks, College Football Odds & College Football Predictions: The Clemson Tigers are in Atlanta tonight to kickoff conference play against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Both teams enter this evening's game with a 1-0 record after relatively easy non-conference tune ups last weekend. Clemson vs Georgia Tech College Football Picks at Sportsbetting.com have the Jackets listed as a -5 against the spread favorite in tonight's ACC clash. The Clemson Tigers got the official Dabo Swinney era off to a good start last Saturday, pasting Sun Belt squad Middle Tennessee State 37-14. The Tigers most dynamic player, running back C.J. Spiller, got things started with a bang, returning the opening kick 96 yards for a score. Spiller also had a 50 yard punt return in the first half, but did not see action in the second half after Clemson built a 30-7 halftime lead. The Tigers new quarterback, freshman Kyle Parker, did a nice job filling in for the departed Cullen Harper. Parker completed 9-of-20 passes for 159 yards and two touchdowns. Clemson's defense limited the Blue Raiders to 299 total yards and just 92 rushing (2.5 yards per carry). They will get a much stiffer challenge from Paul Johnson's Ramblin' Wreck ground attack this evening. The No. 15 Yellow Jackets had a start similar to the Tigers, beating FCS school Jacksonville State 37-17. Star running back Jonathan Dwyer wasted no time putting a dent in the Gamecocks defense as he ran 74 yards for a touchdown on Tech's first play from scrimmage. Dwyer cruised the rest of the day, rushing just six more times for 21 yards and another score. The Yellow Jackets had 497 yards for the game and racked up 335 on the ground (6.7 yards per carry). The only point of concern for Tech were two first half fumbles; however, inspite of the lack of ball security, Johnson's defense limited any damage by allowing Jacksonville State just 193 yards for the game. This evening's game is scheduled to get underway at 7:30pm ET at Bobby Dodd Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. It will be televised live on ESPN. Sportsbetting.com Clemson vs Georgia Tech College Football Picks, Odds & Predictions: Clemson Tigers +5 (-105), Over 43 (-110), +180 (Moneyline) Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets -5 (-115), Under 43 (-110), -220 (Moneyline) Cash in with sign-up bonuses, weekly reload bonuses and free payouts at SPORTSBETTING.com, where betting is safe, secure and easy. |
