The Ohio State University Buckeye’s football team ended the regular season where it began—ranked number-one in all polls including the Bowl Championship Series (BCS) poll. After 12 straight victories, the Buckeyes will play the No. 2 University of Florida Gators (12-1) in the BCS National Championship Game on Monday, Jan. 8, from University of Phoenix Stadium, in Glendale, Arizona. The game will be televised by FOX with kickoff at 8:15 p.m., (EST).

Ohio State has won19 straight games, including 14 consecutive Big Ten starts and captured the outright Big Ten title with an 8-0 mark. It is Ohio State’s third conference crown in the past six seasons with Jim Tressel as the head coach. This is just the second Ohio State team to start the season with a 12-0 mark. In 2002, the Buckeyes ran the table going 14-0 and winning the BCS National Championship by defeating the Miami Hurricanes.
After winning the Southeastern Conference championship game with a 38-28 victory over Arkansas, Florida found itself as the No. 2 team in the final standings of the BCS to set up a date with top-ranked Ohio State.

Florida, in its second season under the direction of head coach Urban Meyer, beat Southern Miss, Central Florida, Western Carolina and Florida State in non conference action and went through its conference schedule of Tennessee, Kentucky, LSU, Auburn, Georgia, Vanderbilt and South Carolina with a lone blemish at Auburn Oct. 14. The Gators have won six-consecutive games heading to Arizona.
The Buckeyes were installed favorites by a -7 point chalk within moments after the BCS Poll established Florida as the number two ranked team on Dec. 3rd. The line has moved now changed favoring the Buckeyes by 7 ½ points with a total of 46.
