Hogs and Gators Play for SEC TitleFor the 15th time since 1992, the Southeastern Conference will bring together its two division winners to determine the winner of the SEC title. Florida finished 11-1 in the regular season and was the SEC Eastern Division Champion with a 7-1 league mark. Arkansas enters the game as the Western Division champion with a 10-2 overall record and a 7-1 SEC mark. The game will kick off at 6 p.m. in the Georgia Dome in Atlanta on Dec. 2 and can be seen on CBS.

The Gators also have a two-headed offensive attack with senior quarterback Chris Leak and freshman Tim Tebow. Leak’s 21 touchdown passes through 12 games are one more than he threw all of last season. Tebow is among national leaders in yards per carry.  Tebow has run the ball 71 times for 407 yards this season. His 5.6 average yards per carry is the 35th highest nationally among all players and is the second-highest total nationally among quarterbacks: Tim Tebow leads the Gators with seven rushing touchdowns this season, which is tied for eighth among all quarterbacks nationally. Tebow is one of nine quarterbacks nationally to have two rushing touchdowns against AP Top 25 teams this season.

The Gators have been one of the least dependable teams on the betting board only covering the betting line 1-of-8 times (ATS) while going 11-1 SU. They have developed a reputation as a team that only does what it has to do to win. They have lived dangerously narrowly escaping with wins. Arkansas failed to cover its first 4 games of the 2006 season but found a rhythm in October covering five of its last seven to finish out the season.
