It’s One Versus Two—Buckeyes Welcome Wolverines To The HorseshoeFinally the week has come that all have been looking for. That’s when undefeated Ohio State, ranked No. 1 meets No.2 Michigan on the football field. After Ohio State defeated Texas and Michigan romped all over Notre Dame back in September no one expected the remaining eight of the Big Ten Conference to put up much opposition to the Big Two…the Buckeyes and Wolverines… and they didn’t.

On the line this week are both undisputed possession of the Big Ten title and a spot in the Bowl Championship Series title game on Jan. 8, 2007.  This week's game will be televised by ABC and will kickoff at 3:45 p.m., EST, in sold-out Ohio Stadium. A record crowd of more than 106,000 is expected to be on hand for the 103rd meeting between the two traditional powerhouses.

Both teams are 11-0 on the year and own spotless 7-0 records in the Big Ten. Ohio State is coming off a 54-10 drubbing of Northwestern and owns the nation's longest winning streak with 18 consecutive victories. The Buckeyes have won 13 consecutive Big Ten games and are unbeaten in their last 11 home games.

Ohio State is the designated favorite getting a –7.0 nod by most Las Vegas sportsbooks and –6.5 offshore. The Buckeyes seem to have the public’s approval getting 62% of the bets thrown their way after the first 48 hours since the line opened last Sunday night.

"I expect it to be all 11 games in one,” said senior quarterback and Heisman candidate Troy Smith. “It is going to be complete pandemonium around the stadium with two teams of this caliber and tradition. There is going to be mile-high excitement all around."

Michigan junior quarterback Chad Henne expects it to be pretty hostile for his fellow Wolverines when they take the field in Columbus.

"It's definitely a hostile environment,” said Henne. “ I remember sitting on the sideline and trying to talk to somebody next to me, and you can't even communicate unless you're screaming at the top of your lungs. It’s just a great place to play in and just experiencing it is a great feature for me and our teammates who were down there two years ago. It's just building up all this emotion inside that you've been there and now you have to go out and play."
