The No.10 Louisville Cardinals were the toast of the college football world after defeating BIG EAST favorite West Virginia 44-34 on Nov 2. The win put the Cardinals on the inside track to the BIG EAST championship and a strong favorite to reach the BCS Championship Game. All Louisville had to do was defeat Rutgers in Piscataway the next Thursday (Nov 9). The Cardinals couldn’t pull it off losing 25-28 thus allowing the Scarlet Knights to steal away their dreams. Louisville can still have a shot at the BIG EAST crown but will need some help and most of all must take care of business in Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium on Saturday (Nov 18) against the dangerous South Florida Bulls. The game kicks off at 7:30 p.m. (EST) and will be televised nationally by ESPNU.
