The Buckeyes (10-0 SU & 8-2 ATS) had won each of their first nine games by at least 17 points, but let this one get close as the 24 point favorites, just as rival Michigan did earlier in the day against Ball State as the 34 point favorites. Note: Fresno State is the only team in the NCAA to have not cashed this year at 0-8 ATS.
Sunday, a great day of NFL action was capped off with a 27-20 Colts win over the Patriots. QB Peyton Manning didn't have to be perfect for the Colts to remain the only team with a perfect record.
He had plenty of help from a defense that had been far from perfect all season. With four interceptions -- the last ending the Patriots' final chance with 1:18 left -- Indianapolis improved to 8-0 SU.
With the loss by Chicago and coach Lovie Smith to Miami earlier Sunday, the Colts are the NFL's only unbeaten team.
