Notre Dame Looks for the Cash PDF Print E-mail
Saturday, 28 October 2006

The No. 11 Notre Dame Fighting Irish (6-1 SU & 2-5 ATS) continue to disappoint their backers, failing to cover the spread for the third straight game in last Saturday’s thrilling win over UCLA. But on Saturday, Notre Dame hopes to regain some of the dropped cash against Navy.

The Navy Midshipmen (5-2 SU & 3-3 ATS) are 4-1 ATS in their last five head-to-head meetings with the Irish, but their Oct. 14 shutout against Rutgers showed how the offense struggles without quarterback Brian Hampton.

The Fighting Irish are 2-5 ATS vs. a team with a winning record so getting the job done in this game won't be easy. As well, they enter the contest as the double-digit chalk where the Fighting Irish are 0-6 ATS in their last 6 games as a favorite of 10.5 or greater.

"I think everyone should experience defeat at least once during their career. You learn a lot from it." - Lou Holtz
