Pete Carroll and the USC Trojans ran over the Arkansas Razorbacks in the 2006 college football season opener on Saturday, September 2nd, 2006 which kicked off at 8:45 PM EST.
The Arkansas offensive was unable to move the ball against the Trojans defense. Razorbacks running back Felix Jones fumbled the ball 3 times in the first half. Jones has not been touched in practice since the spring, which was part of the reason he put the ball on the ground so much.

John David Booty started at quarterback for the Southern Cal Trojans. Booty replaces first round NFL draft pick Matt Leinart. Booty 24 for 36 throwing 263 yards and 3 touchdowns in the romp.
Injured running back Darren McFadden came in and rushed for 47 yards on 9 attempts dispite having an toe injury that was sustained in an off the field out of season incident. McFadden came in when Felix Jones started to struggle.
Southern Cal plays host to the Nebraska Cornhuskers on September 9th, 2006 and travels to Arizona to play PAC 10 rival Wildcats.
Arkansas plays Utah State on September 9th, 2006 and then travels to Tennessee to play Vanderbilt on September 16th, 2006.

Running Back CJ Gable scored on the ground from 3 yards out. Danelo kicked a 39 yard field goal to conclude a 15 yard drive that lasted a little over 4 minutes. Robert Johnson scored on a 1 yard run for the Razorbacks. Danelo stuck a long range 44 yard field goal for Southern Cal.

Trojans quarterback John David Booty threw a 14 yard touchdown pass to Patrick Turner for a touchdown. Fred Davis caught a 9 yard pass from Booty.
4th Quarter: USC 50 – Arkansas 14
Booty threw a 1 yard reception for a touchdown to Ryan Powdrell. Emmanuel Moody scored a 9 yard rushing touchdown. Mitch Mustain scored on a 4 yard run for the Razorbacks. Allen Bradford scored on a 1 yard touchdown run.
