Arkansas 26- @South Carolina 20 –COVERING LINE-ARKANSAS –2.5, TOTAL 45-OVER WINS 46 - The No.12 Arkansas Razorbacks (8-1, 5-0) held off a furious fourth-quarter rally by South Carolina to beat the Gamecocks 26-20 in an ESPN televised game at Williams-Bryce Stadium in Columbia, SC.
The Razorbacks, behind the powerful running of tail back Darren McFadden (25 rushes for 218 yards) and career-receiving performance by wide-out Marcus Monk (8 receptions for 192 yards) took a 23-6 lead into halftime. Carolina head coach Steve Spurrier replaced senior starting quarterback Svelle Newton in the second half with junior quarterback Blake Mitchell who torched the Hogs for 213 yards and two touchdowns.
The South Carolina rally fell short when Mitchell threw to Arkansas safety Darius Vinnett with 5:05 left to play. After a couple of key first downs, Arkansas was able to run out the clock to preserve the win.
LSU 28- @ Tennessee 24-COVERING LINE-PUSH, TOTAL 44-OVER WINS 52 - JaMarcus Russell hit Early Doucet with a 4-yard touchdown pass with 9 seconds left to give No. 13 LSU a 28-24 win over eighth-ranked Tennessee on Saturday. Russell's third touchdown pass of the game gave the Tigers (7-2, 3-2 Southeastern Conference) their first road win of the season. Tennessee (7-2, 3-2) went ahead 24-21 after redshirt freshman Jonathan Crompton, playing for injured starter Erik Ainge, completed a 54-yard touchdown pass to Robert Meachem with 7:29 remaining. The Tigers got the ball back with plenty of time, and Russell methodically led them down the field, milking the clock all the way. On fourth-and-8, Russell got a first down with a completion to Doucet. Russell appeared to score on a run from the Tennessee 7 when he flipped into the end zone, but officials ruled he was out of bounds at the 4. On the next play, a third down, Russell found Doucet in the end zone. Davis finished 24-for-36 for 247 yards. He also ran for 71 yards.
Mississippi State 24-@ Alabama 16-COVERING LINE-MISS STATE +14, TOTAL 39.5-OVER WINS 40 – Michael Henig passed for 143 yards and two touchdowns and Mississippi State beat Alabama 24-16 on Saturday to give Coach SylvesterCroom his first victory over his alma mater. Anthony Dixon ran for 121 yards for the Bulldogs (3-7, 1-5 ), who snapped a 23-game SEC road losing streak and an 18-game skid against Western division rivals. Mississippi State was a two-touchdown underdog against the Crimson Tide (6-4, 2-4 ), which had not lost at home this season.

Kentucky 24-Georgia 21-COVERING LINE KENTUCKY +6.5 TOTAL 49-UNDER WINS 45 - Tony Dixon's 3-yard run with a minute left lifted Kentucky to a 24-20 comeback victory over Georgia, snapping a nine-game losing streak against the defending Southeastern Conference champs. Kentucky won for only the 11th time in 60 meetings between the two teams since 1939. The Wildcats' 24-17 victory in 1996 in Lexington was their last.
Auburn 27-Arkansas State 0-COVERING LINE +34 ARK STATE, TOTAL NONE - Brandon Cox passed for 251 yards and two touchdowns and No. 6 Auburn held Arkansas State to 177 total yards in a 27-0 victory Saturday. The Tigers (9-1) turned the ball over four times, but got the easy tune up they hoped for to set up season-ending games with traditional rivals Georgia and Alabama.
The Indians (5-4) gained 86 yards and four first downs in the first three quarters before finally starting to move the ball against Auburn's backups. Cox completed 12 of 21 passes and was intercepted twice and lost a fumble while missing his season high for yards passing by 2 yards. He was still in the game late in the fourth quarter despite the lopsided score. Courtney Taylor had four catches for 116 yards, all in the first half, and became the fourth Auburn receiver with 2,000 career yards. He had catches of 41 and 57 yards to set up first-half field goals, but was chased down both times to prevent touchdowns
Ole Miss 27-Northwestern State (Louisiana) 7 - (NON BOARD GAME) BenJarvus Green-Ellis rushed for 116 yards and a touchdown Saturday as Mississippi snapped a three-game losing streak with a 27-7 win over Northwestern State. Ole Miss (3-7) rolled up 401 yards in total offense, with Green-Ellis and backup Bruce Hall accounting for 201 on the ground. Brent Schaeffer completed 13 of 23 passes for 175 yards and a touchdown as the Rebels matched last season's total for wins. The Rebels snapped an early 7-7 tie by grinding down Division I-AA Northwestern State (4-5) over the final three periods. The Demons, winless in 14 games against SEC teams, finished 0-3 this season against Division I-A teams.
