Everyone knows the San Antonio Spurs sweep the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals ending the season, however you still have one more opportunity to cash in on the NBA. Next Thursday the league will conduct the 2007 NBA Draft and Sportsbook.com has made betting odds on the upcome of this annual event.

There is plenty of excitement surrounding NBA Draft this year considering many experts feel as if this is the most talented crop of draftees to come out in years.

If you follow the NBA you should already know, heading the group are two players that are considered immediate impact NBA franchise type players. Portland holds the first NBA Draft pick and will more than likely select 7’1” man-child Greg Oden out of Ohio State.

All Oden did during his freshman campaign at Ohio State was average 15.4 point, 9.5 boards and 3.3 blocks per game, all while playing the first half of the season with a banged up hand. 

Right behind Portland, the Seattle SuperSonics will most likely select the National Player of the Year Kevin Durant out of Texas. Durant had one of the most dominant freshman years in recent memory averaging 25.8 points and 11.1 boards. Many consider both of these players to be 10 year NBA all-star types that can turn around a basketball franchise immediately.

Oden is the best center prospect to enter the NBA draft since Shaquille O’Neal back in 1992. With so few dominant centers in the league today, Oden should be one the top centers in the NBA from day 1. Believe it or not, some think that Durant should be selected with the first pick instead of Oden. As good as Durant is, a team would be foolish to pass on Oden; centers in the NBA with the physical tools like Oden has are few and far between.

Although Oden and Durant are the clear cut top two NBA draft picks , there are plenty of other players that are expected to make an impact as NBA players in their rookie seasons. Most notably the National Champion Florida Gators expect to have three players selected in the NBA draft's top 10 including: Al Horford, Corey Brewer and Joakim Noah. Others that should have their names called out early are Mike Conley (OSU), Brandan Wright (UNC) and Yi Jianlin (China).
