After giving girlfriend Mezhgan Hussainy a huge diamond ring on Valentine’s Day, Simon Cowell is rumored to have popped the question! The oddsmaker at BETUS.com have the betting odds of a Simon Cowell engagement to Mezhgan Hussainy at 4 to 1 odds.
Simon, 50, and Mezhgan, 36, met on the set of “American Idol” in 2003. Mezhgan is a makeup artist for the show and has stolen Simon’s heart over the past six months. The “Idol” meanie has turned into a big ol’ softy since dating Mezhgan.
Simon’s mother reported that he made a ‘complete turnaround’ after meeting Mezhgan. She also stated, “I knew it was serious when Simon said he had something important to tell me, just before explaining Mezhgan was moving in”.
A close friend of the couple reported, "I'm very very surprised but I'm delighted he's got engaged. Hussainy is a lovely girl. They've been close for a long time but it's only in the last few months that it's got serious. She is fantastic for him, very grounding, which is exactly what he needs to keep that ego in check."
Simon Cowell's representative, Max Clifford, has said he cannot confirm reports that the “American Idol” judge is engaged to Mezhgan Hussainy.
Simon was quick to deny the engagement rumors. He did say, “I think I'm ready to have little Simons around.” He also made it very clear that he is NOT engaged but very happy and has even “found the one”.
