Oscars 2010: Oddsmakers Post Betting Lines on 82nd Academy Awards

by Trixie Hammer on Monday, March 1st, 2010

The 82nd Annual Academy Awards are set for March 7th 2010. Tinsel Town is all a buzz with speculation on who will win Best Picture this year. The biggest face off seems to be between ‘Avatar’ and ‘The Hurt Locker’.  I’m rooting for the underdog, 'Inglourious Basterds'! Online sportsbook BetUS.com posted odds on the Oscars and has 'Inglourious Basterds' winning best picture at 16 to 1 odds.

Oscars 2010: And The Nominees Are... The ladies in the Best Actress category hoping to take home a little gold man include Sandra Bullock at 10 to 17 odds, Carey Mulligan at 8 to 1 odds, Helen Mirren at 35 to 1 odds, Gabourey Sidibe at 12 to 1 odds, and Meryl Streep at 8 to 5 odds. The Best Actor nominees include, Jeff Bridges at 2 to 15 odds, George Clooney at 9 to 2 odds, Colin Faith at 15 to 1 odds, Morgan Freeman at 20 to 1 odds, and Jeremy Renner at 20 to 1 odds.

I still think Brad Pitt should have been nominated for Best Actor in 'Inglourious Basterds'! Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin will present the Oscars at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood. Check back soon for more Oscar news and gossip over the next few days.
