It’s been an interesting week on ‘American Idol’! There was a last minute change in the week’s line up, a visit to the emergency room, along with an amazing mullet and a ton of tears! Tonight is elimination night and we’ll finally see who makes it to another stressful week. The online sportsbook BODOG.com has made predictions on who will be the next ‘American Idol’.
The boys took the stage on Tuesday night and the show was extremely boring compared to girls night. I’m a bit worried about Andrew Garcia. His lack luster performance has him in the red zone again this week. Alex Lambert staked his claim this week. He seems to be the guy to watch at this point. This kid is turning into the boys most likeable contestant. Maybe it’s his mullet .
The girls took the ‘American Idol’ stage last night. They outshined the boys! The top ten girls were scheduled to perform Tuesday night but a decision was made to postpone girls night after Crystal Bowersox was rushed to the hospital for undisclosed reasons. "I'm a tough cookie," she told Ryan Seacrest. Crystal nailed it on stage too. She chose the song “Long As I Can See The Light”, by Creedence Clearwater Revival. The judges, including Simon raved about her flawless performance!
"Truth is reality," Randy says, and "you are the truth. … I love that girl! That girl is hot!" Ellen said, “That is pure, raw, natural talent, I am so glad you're here today. I was so scared for you. Please stay healthy." Kara seemed to be off in another world. She said, “you completely recovered from last week's version of You Oughta Know!” Which, of course, isn't what she sang. Simon loved Crystal’s performance and said, "I completely misunderestimated (is that a real word?) you from last week. … This was like the moment we realized with Kelly Clarkson that we've got a really serious artist here." It seems shel is the girl to beat after this week. Crystal Bowersox is predicted to take the Idol title at 15 to 2 odds.
I loved all the performances by the guys and the girls. However, four Idol hopefuls will go home tonight. I think the forever smiling Haeley Vaughn, who sang that annoying Miley Cyrus song, is going home tonight. Katie Stevens is really good but she is terribly boring. Todrick Hall and Casey James are my other two guesses to hit the road.
Tonight’s elimination show airs on Fox at 8pm EST. Danny Gokey is scheduled to perform his new single, "My Best Days Are Ahead of Me."
