American Idol 2010 Week 3 Eliminations & Predictions: Who’s made it into the top 12? We’ll find out tonight on the ‘American Idol’ results show. Two girls and two guys will be eliminated and sent home. The online sportsbook BODOG.com has made predictions on who will be the next ‘American Idol’.
Last night the top eight guys performed. One rose to the top. New dad Michael Lynche performed a show stopping performance of “This Woman’s Work” by Maxwell. Michael missed the birth of his first child just so he could be part of the Hollywood Week auditions. Last week his new baby daughter and wife moved to Los Angeles to support him in his journey. Michael’s performance was heartfelt leaving Kara in tears. “After a season and a half of picking potential Idols apart, no contestant had ever moved her to tears”, she said. Ellen said, "It feels like the show has just begun." Simon called it, "the best performance we've had of all these live shows so far" this season. Randy said, "Really? Really? Really? HOT!"
None of the other guys last night even came close to Michael Lynche’s performance. Even my beloved Andrew Garcia fell short. The ‘American Idol’ judges have been telling Andrew to recapture the magic of his “Straight Up” performance. He decided to sing “Genie In A Bottle”. Simon called his performance “a little bit desperate” , which it was actually a LOT desperate.
Has anyone else cried during an ‘Idol’ performance? I realize that song has significant meaning in the movie “She’s Having A Baby”, but c’mon! I think Kara is insane. She needs to stop making the show about herself and just focus on judging the performances.
Who leaves in the results show tonight at 8 P.M. on Fox? I’ll go with Alex and Todrick. Andrew could be in trouble, but I think the voters want to see more of him.
