Not only are Sharon’s odds of winning the entire show good, she has been voted by placemat ballots at a NYC diner as the season’s favorite! New York’s Burger Heaven was featured in Sunday night’s season premiere of ‘Celebrity Apprentice’. Diners at the 67-year-old chain have been voting via ballots printed on their placemats. The results? 252 patrons chose Sharon Osbourne. Singer Cindi Lauper received 229 votes, followed by comedian Sinbad with 191, baseball's Darryl Strawberry with 164, actress Holly Robinson Peete with 162, Summer Sanders with 159 and former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich with 155 votes. In last place with 22 votes was Bret Michaels, the washed up front man of glam metal band Poison.
In a recent interview Donald Trump revealed that he thought Sharon Osbourne is a front-runner in the competition saying, “Well, she’s very smart. She’s very strong, very strong minded and wills. You see what she did with Ozzy because Ozzy’s a great talent in terms of music but I guarantee he wouldn’t be where he is today without Sharon and he understands that better than anybody. So she’s obviously a great character on the show. Beyond that I can’t talk too much because I can’t tell you how she does obviously, but she has been a great character on the show, there’s no question about it.”
In the season 3 premiere, Sharon showed us that she thinks fast on her feet. She arranged for the radio interview to advertise the diner. In need of photographs for the diner, she also lured in a paparazzo to take and print photos for their windows. I have to question whether Sharon is favored to win because people think she’s a savvy business lady or is it simply that she’s the most recognizable celebrity in the game. You have to admit that you probably didn’t know who the hell a few of the contestants were at the beginning of the show.
