Buzz Aldrin Dancing With The Stars Season 10 Odds: At 80, Buzz Aldrin doesn’t seem to stand a chance on the new season of ‘Dancing With The Stars’. Bodog.com has posted entertainment betting odds to win Dancing with the Stars Season 10 placing Buzz Aldrin with 50 to 1 odds of winning the competition.
Moonwalker Buzz Aldrin cannot wait to appear on the season premiere of ‘DWTS’ next week because he “gets to work with Pamela Anderson!” Buzz asked if he knew any of his fellow contestants, who include Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger and actress Shannon Doherty. But he had only heard of Pamela, and said, "Oh I know HER. I wasn't a lifeguard but I'm a pretty good body-surfer. ”
"Living on Air Force retirement and Social Security, I'm forced to go out and sing for my supper quite a bit," Aldrin admits in explaining his "DWTS" decision. He adds, “Most of the astronauts are in the business of marketing memorabilia and autographs. It's not like a football player being paid millions and millions, and it's a shame that somebody who has gone to the moon has to do that." The rehearsal time demanded by "Dancing With the Stars" is forcing Aldrin to revise his schedule. He says, "I may be postponing a reunion with my fighter squadron and maybe a diving expedition to mark the 40th anniversary of a sea-and-space sharing group."
The second man ever on the moon after Neil Armstrong will make history again being the oldest contestant ever on the series at age 80. Buzz is also a scientist, inventor, and author. He is considered one of the greatest heroes in space exploration. On July 20, 1969, he and Neil Armstrong made their historic Apollo 11 moonwalk, becoming the first two humans to set foot on the moon. An estimated 600 million people tuned in to watch the exploration, which ended in the world's largest television audience in history. I bet the network and producers are hoping Buzz will draw a fraction of those viewers!
Buzz will be partnered with Ashly Delgrosso Costa, who last appeared in season three with Harry Hamilin.
The two-hour season premiere of ‘Dancing with the Stars’ begins Monday, March 22 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
