with professional dancer Derek Hough. In a recent rehearsal Nicole accidentally kicked Derek in the face just missing his eye! While practicing her dance debut, Nicole sliced Derek’s cheek leaving him with a large painful laceration . Luckily, Derek is expected to heal before the March 22nd premiere of ‘Dancing With The Stars’. He forgave his Dancing Queen Nicole immediately for the kick to the face. Friends say the pair has become good friends since rehearsals started and their biggest weakness is "having a little bit too much fun" and being equally "dorky." Nicole added, “"He's wonderful. We're having a lot of fun."
Nicole initially wanted to pass on ‘DWTS’ but changed her mind saying, "I thought about it and thought this can be a fun, interesting challenge." In regards to skeptics saying that Nicole has an unfair advantage in the dance competition because she’s a professional entertainer with the Pussycat Dolls, “I think that the misconception is that I'm a professionally trained dancer, but in actuality, I'm a professionally trained singer.” Nicole has been singing and DANCING with The Pussycat Dolls since 2003. Before that she danced with a group called Eden’s Crush. According to Wikipedia Nicole is a “professional dancer”. I really think she has an unfair advantage at this point. Especially compared to her competitors Kate Gosselin and Shannen Doherty.
