Once considered his to lose, Archuleta still could very well win the seventh season of American Idol but he must be looking over his shoulder because rocker David Cook is right behind him and closing with 5/2 odds. It was Cook who had the word “Amazing” attached to the judges critique of his “Billie Jean” performance. If Archuleta is slipping, he has good company. Carly Smithson at one time was the best of the females but after the bottom three vote she got one week ago it has oddsmakers evaluating her chances. With 12/1 odds of winning, Smithson has slipped behind our third place contestant Brook White at 9/1 winning odds. It will be interesting to see if Smithson escapes the bottom three Wednesday night. The least favored contestant among oddsmakers is Kristy Lee Cook at 100/1, but I think she will survive the Wednesday night vote-off after her spectacular performance of Lee Greenwood’s,“Proud to Be An American.”. After making “spot on” predictions the past two weeks in foreseeing the departure of David Hernandez and Amanda Overmyer, my favorite to hit the streets Wednesday is Ramiele Malubay with 25/1 odds. I also don’t give Chikeze at 35/1 much of a chance either. Odds on all American Idol contestants chances of winning. David Archuleta 11/10 David Cook 5/2 Brooke White 9/1 Michael Johns 11/1 Carly Smithson 12/1 Syesha Mercado 12/1 Jason Castro 15/1 Ramiele Malubay 25/1 Chikeze 35/1 Kristy Lee Cook 100/1 |
