American Idol 2010 Usher & The Boys Owned The Idol Stage on R&B Night: Superstar Usher coached the top ten contestants tonight on ‘American Idol’. The boys rocked R&B night while the girls pulled out stiletto heel and piano props to gain attention. My favorite male performance was from Andrew Garcia tonight on ‘American Idol’. The ‘Idol’ hopeful took Chris Brown’s dance hit “Forever” and made it his own that resulted in a very intimate and special performance. Judge Kara said Andrew Garcia’s performance was "one giant leap in the right direction”.
Lee Dewyze, with 7 to 1 odds of winning ‘American Idol’, also made a huge impression tonight even with his walking pneumonia. Usher loved Lee Dewyze’s song choice and even said, “I think it's a great pick, good fit for his voice. Usher called it "a special treat," and then praises his "incredible voice," tells him to "own it — don't be so critical of yourself, especially when you have a talent like yours."
Crystal Bowersox promised to give us a “surprise” this week. Usher suggested she lose the guitar and play the piano. Crystal immediately claimed that Usher’s idea was her big surprise and went for it. She even changed her look and wore a pair of sexy black stiletto heels. I wasn’t impressed. I honestly thought Didi Benami’s performance was amazing! Unfortunately, the judges thought otherwise. I’m a little concerned that Didi may be sent packing this week. Didi Benami has 20 to 1 odds of winning ‘American Idol’.
‘American Idol’ week 6 elimination episode airs Wednesday night at 9:00 PM EST. on Fox. Usher will perform with P. Diddy. Rumors were squashed today that Justin Bieber would be collaborating with Usher and P. Diddy. We’ll have to watch and see!
