James dodges another bullet on Big Brother

by Thomas Jensen on Saturday, April 5th, 2008

It was another interesting week in the house on “Big Brother: 'Til Death Do You Part”, as two best friends were pitted against one another on the eviction block after one houseguest won yet another competition.

Last week's Head of Household, Natalie, put James and Joshuah up on the block, marking the first time Joshuah had been in danger of walking out of the house. In Tuesday's Power of Veto ceremony, James came out with another victory, which was his third consecutive win in this competition. James now has five total wins, with two HoHs and three PoVs, not to mention his eviction that was overturned by the houseguests.

So Natalie was forced to replace James on the eviction block, and chose Sharon to go against her partner Joshuah, who campaigned vigorously to stay in the house. Joshuah had James' vote, and he also thought he had Ryan and Adam, until Sheila and Natalie stepped in and made them think that Joshuah would come back to haunt them later in the game. Sharon is a much more trustworthy ally than Joshuah, who had been known to explode on people in the house and go below the belt with his insults, such as making fun of the evicted Amanda's dead father. When Wednesday's eviction ceremony rolled around, it was indeed Joshuah who was evicted by three votes to one, but before he left, he gave a speech about being true to yourself, and later told host Julie Chen that he would be pulling for James or Sharon to win.

The HoH ceremony was next, and the housguests had to play a game called “Less is More”, in which they had to guess whether there was more or less of a certain amount of an object (for example, Julie would ask if there were more or less than 112 logs in the fireplace. There are 119, so the correct answer is more). At the end of the competition, Adam was the HoH for the second time in three weeks. He then wanted to put James up once again, but James talked his way out it, and surprisingly Adam put up Sharon and his former partner Sheila. This could come back to haunt Adam, as the house desperately needs to get rid of James, arguably, the game's strongest player.
